A Cadillac in detail

No, we didn't make a mistake when selecting the pictures. The headline actually refers to the first Toyota Aygo, built from 2005 to 2014, although the small 68 hp vehicle with identical front seats on the right and left, non-retractable rear side windows, only five possible optional extras, an obligatory one-liter three-cylinder engine and without a proper handle for the tailgate was actually designed with economy and common sense in mind.
The body, which is not exactly rich in playful details, also follows this dogma. Only with the headlights were the designers apparently allowed to go wild and therefore did not simply put a profane Plexiglas cap on the front blinker, but instead modeled a transparent little spaceship complete with warhead and small tail fins, which - stylistically somewhere between Juicy Salif and Dagmar Bumper - could also have served as a rear light for a Cadillac from the fifties. Reason sometimes also has its beautiful sides.
