Why not rebuild cars? (Question of the week)
01/30/2023
Over the last 140 years, many a car has been dreamed of (and planned) that was never built in the end. And many a special vehicle was built but then destroyed. Some of these cars that no longer exist would be highly interesting. But can a replica make up for the loss of the original?
In a " question of the week" , we asked Zwischengas readers whether lost/never-built cars should be rebuilt.
The 366 respondents were much more positive about a replica than we would have expected. Three quarters are in favor of reproducing special cars, either with reservations or in principle. However, 38.3%, i.e. just over half, are against any compromises, meaning that the replica would have to be very close to the original. 37.4%, i.e. the other half, would even be grateful for slightly compromised replicas as long as the cars are recreated.
However, 18.9 % are completely against it and 5.5 % could not come to terms with any of the answers given.
Graphically, the result looks like this:
Of course, we have already posed the next "question of the week" . Now we want to know from our readers how interested they are in the history of their car?
And of course you can still read all the previous evaluations of the "Question of the Week" in the topic channel.
