Flat beetle in the shadow of the Nürburg

Apparently, it's not just Beetles that can be rolled onto the roof at the Nürburgring. Apparently, this was also possible with the sporty offshoot from Zuffenhausen. The medieval walls in the background are probably the eponymous mountain castle on its hilltop, in front of which actress Elke Sommer has placed her Porsche 356 C on its buttery side. In view of the crash helmet, it is unlikely to have been a harmless tourist drive, despite the rather leisurely attire. And even if the AMS editors only put the words in her mouth for the closing gag of issue 9/1966, the young lady had every reason to complain to Mr. Porsche himself. Because even the best driver can't always overcome the pitfalls of a swing axle.
