Long before computer animations allowed trade fair visitors to observe the interior of cars and engines, resourceful exhibition designers and model makers found ways and means of giving viewers an insight under the sheet metal.
Whether it was presenting the size of the trunk of a HillmanSuper Minx (pictured above), showing the engine of a MorrisMinor 1000 ...
... or to demonstrate the chassis and drivetrain of a Plymouth , there were always solutions that are even more impressive today than they were then.
P.S. By the way, the Plymouth chassis was shown at a flower show in Detroit back then ...
