It was 1953 when Ferrari took a one-two-three victory at the Bern Grand Prix on August 23rd, Alberto Ascari ahead of Nino Farina and Mike Hawthorn, followed by two Maserati. Although Juan Manuel Fangio set the fastest lap in practice, he only finished fourth in the race.
There are only a few color documents from this period, which makes a film all the more special, showing how the cars sped along the country roads that had been converted into a race track and did not even stop at cobblestones. These were still real heroes, racing for victory and defeat in monopostos with short sleeves and without much protection ...
