Those were the days when Formula 1 racing cars didn't have spoilers and sleek cigars were curving around racetracks. A film document from 1964, which summarizes the British Grand Prix at Brands Hatch, shows how elegant they looked and how exciting the races were with them.
Even onboard footage was included, although this was probably taken during training, as no driver would have been prepared to take a 30 kg heavy and clunky camera into the race. The soundtrack also seems to have been chosen at random and was probably copied in as a loop because the actual filming was still silent at the time. But at least it was filmed in color!
Have fun!
