Where is the only buggy with a sheet metal body?
It was the realizable dream car in the late sixties and early seventies, the buggy. Usually, a VW Beetle chassis was used and a simple plastic body was fitted and the fun leisure vehicle was ready, as was extensively tested and compared by the magazine 'Hobby' in 1973 .
Various buggies were also developed in Switzerland, one of which was the Sporzi. However, unlike all other buggies, the prototype for this (pictured above) was created using conventional coachbuilding techniques. Kaspar Gut was the man who built the first Sporzi, using sheet steel and a welding torch.
Rumor has it that the sheet metal Sporzi still exists, somewhere in Austria. We would like to take a photo of it and write a report about the Sporzi Buggy, which was as rare then as it is now - only just over a dozen were made with a GKF body (see picture below).

Incidentally, many buggies can be seen today (Saturday, June 2, 2018) at the "Fantastic Plastic" plastic car meeting in Lucerne/Ebikon , alongside a pack of Alpine and many other plastic cars from the fifties to the eighties (and beyond).
