Now it's down to the wire! Which classic car will be voted the most versatile classic?
The preliminary votes are in, now it's time for the final round of our readers' poll for the "most versatile classic".
5721 votes have been cast so far, just over 2000 readers have taken part in the vote. And it was exciting. In Group 1, the Jaguar E-Type came out on top just ahead of the BMW 628-635 CS/CSi Coupé. In Group 2, the Mercedes-Benz 230-280 SL (Pagoda) won just ahead of the Bertone-Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint/GT/GTV. In groups 3 to 5, there were clear victories for the Porsche 911, the Mercedes-Benz 280-450 SL and the BMW 2.8/C.0 CS/CSL.
It was very close in the last group, where three winners were possible right up to the end. In the end, however, the Volvo P1800 S/ES took the crown ahead of the Mercedes-Benz 190 SL and the Fiat 124 Spider.
