Simply incredible!

We are 30 seconds away from the start of the final race (Sussex Trophy) of the 20th Goodwood Revival 2018. Tragedy strikes at the start. Pole position holder Phil Keen has a problem. He is pushed into the pits with his Lister Jaguar Knobbly, the start is cleared after another formation lap, with Phil Keen in the Lister starting from the pits.
It all looks like a safe victory for the white Lotus 15, which is able to distance itself from the Ferrari 246S.
But over the next 45 minutes, Keen overtakes the entire field, finally overtaking the leading Lotus 15 Climax with one lap to go. A heart-stopping finale to a weekend of extraordinarily exciting racing and breathtaking driving.
How does Lord March (now the Duke of Richmond) do it every year? If you haven't seen it, you can't believe it. Once again, real races were held, regardless of whether the cars were worth 20,000 or two million pounds. Processions, i.e. harmless driving one behind the other, are the exception, guaranteed by the many professionals at the wheel with their will to win. Worth seeing.
And not only the thousands of spectators on site were able to see it, but also the YouTube users who were able to enjoy a live stream and therefore didn't miss anything, except the entire soundscape and the smell of the racing cars. Once in a lifetime you should enjoy it on site, just for the atmosphere, which of course doesn't come across properly on a computer screen ....
Our report on the Goodwood Revival 2018 will follow shortly.
