Alfa Romeo also developed a Group C racing car in the early nineties, which was to have replaced the Lancia LC2 to compete against Porsche, Jaguar, Nissan and Mercedes.
The aesthetically very successful vehicle, which had a chassis developed by Abarth, was initially to be powered by the company's own 3.5-liter V10 engine from the 164 Procar, but this was ultimately replaced by the Ferrari V12.
Unfortunately, this car never made it out of the development phase and was therefore never entered in a race. What a shame!
At least the car can now be admired in the Alfa Museum in Arese ...
