A foretaste of 70 icons from Porsche

Almost every child today knows that Porsche turned 70. And the anniversary was celebrated everywhere. However, the organizers of the Porsche Classic Day in Schinznach-Bad , which takes place today, August 19, 2018, came up with a very special idea.
They organized a sports car for every Porsche vintage since 1948. Pure racing cars were avoided, as were modern SUVs and saloons.
It is therefore understandable that the 911 is strongly represented.
The whole "special show", if you want to call it that, begins with the oldest 356s still in existence, a Coupé with number 004 and a Beutler Cabriolet with number 003, which together represent the 1948 and 1949 vintages.
And then it goes on year after year until finally 2018 is reached. And anyone who can do the math knows that there will then be 71 icons on the square in Schinznach-Bad near the AMAG Center.
Among them will be the Porsche 959 S, once driven by Karajan, as well as a Porsche Carrera GT.
And, as already mentioned, a whole host of 911s, but not necessarily the most produced examples, but for example a wide and extremely rare 964 Speedster ...
...or a very early 911 SC Cabriolet.
The transaxle cars will not be missing either and, of course, the representatives of Boxster and Co will also have a place in the 70 icons.
