And this chassis was shipped to Italy because the Ford managers were looking for a more appealing alternative to the Cobra The order went to Ghia, where the chassis was beautifully clad. Rumor has it that Giorgetto Giugiaro was involved, but this is not certain, as Giugiaro does not name the car among his creations.
The Shelby Cobra Ghia Spider was shown at several motor shows in 1965, including Turin in the late fall of 1965, and then disappeared.
