Only memories and his models remain
08/08/2018
Cars, motorcycles and airplanes have fascinated Jürg Dedial (DDL) for decades. As a draughtsman, illustrator and painter, he worked intensively with shapes and proportions and realized several exhibitions. As a designer, he worked in particular with motorcycles, where he set new accents with aluminum and carbon. Since 2006, he has been designing sculptures for car enthusiasts under the DDL label. He honed his sense of form on his Cobra, the Corvette and the BMW Z8.
His passion for historic cars and airplanes was great, but unfortunately it also took his life on August 4. The long-serving foreign editor of the NZZ died in the crash of his 1932 vintage JU 52 airplane, affectionately known as "Tante Ju", together with his wife and 18 other passengers on Piz Segnas above Flims.
Our condolences go out to all relatives.
