Who would steal a black Mercedes-Benz Gullwing?
Major events always attract thieves. Unfortunately, the AvD Oldtimer Grand Prix is no exception. Yesterday, Saturday (August 11, 2018), a black 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL was stolen from outside the Dorint Hotel at the Nürburgring, according to the Rhein-Zeitung newspaper. The exact time of the crime is not known, but it was between 01:30 and 10:00.
The theft itself should not be too difficult for an experienced car thief with such an old car, but how one then drives away with the car inconspicuously is something to wonder about. And how to make the car disappear afterwards too, especially as there were only a limited number in black and the yellow (but of course removable) additional headlights are certainly a special feature.
