What was the last really beautiful and individual-looking super sports car?
05/04/2018
Everyone is now building their own super sports car. And each one is a little stronger, faster or better than the other. At the end of the day, they mostly offer the same thing: an emotionless, ugly, flat flounder, jagged with joints, edges and air vents.
Now, after Ferrari, Bugatti and McLaren, the name Brabham has actually appeared. David Brabham, son of three-time F1 world champion Jack Brabham, is behind the project and wants to bring the name "Brabham" back to the racetrack. The Brabham BT62, the new 710 hp mid-engined sports car with a 5.4 liter V8 engine, was unveiled in London on Wednesday.
Visually, the mid-engine sports car offers little that is new apart from the color, as it resembles the well-known competition from Ford, Lotus or Lamborghini.
"Brabham Automotive" is the name of the newly founded company, which intends to offer not only this 972 kg sports car, but also road cars in the future. Anyone with 1.15 million euros in their petty cash can order the car today and should receive it by the end of this year. That's a promise.
Let's just ask ourselves what the last really beautiful super sports car ever was? I'm talking about a car whose unique shape can be recognized blindfolded. Personally, I would guess the Ferrari F40 , because all the cars that followed it suffer from the same aerodynamic uniformity. Or am I wrong?
