Lamborghini Marzal back in Monte Carlo
It was before the Monaco Grand Prix in 1967 when the Lamborghini Marzal took a lap of honor to the delight of the public, with Prince Rainier III and Princess Grace (Kelly) on board.
Built by Bertone to a design by Marcello Gandini, the Marzal combined the Miura architecture with a four-seat concept and a breathtaking body with lots of glass.
When the Lamborghini Espada appeared a little later, it had inherited some of the lines, although the engine was now again positioned conventionally in front of the passengers and no longer behind them.
The Lamborghini Marzal remained in the Bertone collection for a long time until it was sold to Switzerland at an RM auction in Villa d'Este.
It has since been fully restored, was shown again at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show and was now ready for a repeat of the lap of honor in Monaco, this time on the occasion of the Monaco Grand Prix Historique and with Prince Albert II on board.
The Marzal may now be over 50 years old, but its presence, elegance and uniqueness are still impressive today ... as our picture magic episodeimpressively shows.
