It is thanks to one man that safety on the racetracks took a big step forward in the 1970s: Herbert Linge, who will celebrate his 90th birthday in June 2018, founded the rescue squad and immediately equipped the first vehicle, a Porsche 914/6 with a fire extinguishing system and everything that goes with it.
