The joy of a completely restored vehicle of high quality
We recently had several opportunities to drive completely newly restored vehicles of various types. Now, we are certainly fans of a well-kept patina and not necessarily fans of 100-point concours restorations, but these cars are a lot of fun to drive if they have also been technically repaired to a high standard.
Everything just works and wherever you look, you see a brand-new car of a quality that may never have left the original production facility.
Gearbox, clutch, brakes, steering, suspension, etc. - everything runs precisely and without play. There is no unexpected fluid residue under the car when you have driven off and you can also see at the end of the exhaust that the parts in the engine move exactly as the designer intended.
We understand that owners of fully restored classic cars feel great joy when they start their car and drive off. This is well deserved and compensates for the many difficulties and problems that may have arisen during the restoration. Now, at the latest, you can see the well-known classic car buying wisdom "always buy the best" in a different light.
