Lincoln back at his old place of work
Yesterday, September 17, 2016, the Concours d'Excéllence beauty contest took place in Lucerne.
One of the cars taking part was a Lincoln Cosmpolitan Town Sedan from 1949, which had already been awarded the most beautiful prize at the same venue in 1949.
Zwischengas had already reported on this car in 2011. At that time, it was destined for a future as a hot rod.
However, having become aware of his father Carl Bucherer's former vehicle, his son bought the car back and had it extensively restored between 2012 and 2016 (an extensive report on this was published in the classic car magazine SwissClassics Revue ).
And now the car was back among the trees on the Nationalquai in Lucerne, gleaming as it once did in 1949, albeit out of competition, leaving the competition for the most beautiful car to other vehicles. We will, of course, be reporting on this in more detail.
