The right car radio for your classic car
07/07/2013
Often, when you buy a classic car, there is an unpleasantly modern car radio in the radio slot, if one already existed. Although this does its job, it is of course not the right thing from the point of view of originality. A contemporary device is needed. But which radios were available at the time?
In order to shed some light on the subject, we have started to selectively digitize sales catalogs from the past. Two of these reference works (of course we are only talking about a few pages here) are online, the Eschenmoser catalog 1977and 1978. The Eschenmoser company was one of the first discount suppliers in Switzerland and car radios made up an important part of its range. Accordingly, some of the devices available at the time can be found on the pages of the catalogs. And it's a pleasure to look through these old sales documents again!
