A special Bugatti Type 46 for urgent patient transportation
The Schlumpf brothers not only owned an impressive collection of Bugatti racing cars, but also a Bugatti ambulance.
The Type 46, built in 1932, was probably converted into an ambulance during the Second World War. The car was registered to the Bugatti family in September 1955.
The Schlumpf brothers acquired the car directly from the Bugatti family in 1963. The Type 46 engine is an in-line 8-cylinder with 5396 cc.
