The film about the Coppa Sicilia at the Ferrari World theme park in Abu Dhabi
Ferrari World is to Abu Dhabi what Disney World is to the USA and Europapark in Rust is to Germany. This is the first and largest theme park for young and old to be dedicated entirely to the traditional Italian brand. Architecturally, the building is impressive, the entire theme park of 200,000 m2 is covered with a gigantic red roof. Seen from the air, the world's largest Ferrari logo is immediately recognizable.
In the theme park itself, the history of the Ferrari company is explained in the form of shows, films and action.
An extremely well-made feature film of the 1925 Coppa Sicilia (later the Targa Florio) is shown in a feudal movie theater. Enzo Ferrari races for victory in an Alfa Romeo against a Bugatti 35B and Mercedes SSK. Magnificent car-to-car shots capture the fascination of the races at the time. Slipstream battles on extremely dusty gravel roads only hint at the difficulties of the driver behind! The wealth of detail (what was filmed? what was computer-generated?) from the good old days is so impressive that you have to watch the movie several times. Of course, Enzo Ferrari wins the race after his opponents have mostly eliminated themselves!
