Over 1 million "information assets" are currently stored on zwischengas.com. It is impossible to offer them all at the same time. For this reason, "similar" content is displayed in the left-hand column on article pages and can be clicked on.
Similar articles, similar technical data and suggested articles from the newspaper archive are offered.
A"narrow" search is carried out, i.e. articles are offered that correspond exactly to the content viewed (e.g. brand, type, year), then a"broader" search is carried out and more "distant" content is also shown. The algorithm behind these searches is constantly being refined. Sometimes the results may be surprising because it is not always clear why a particular item is displayed.
However, the purpose is clear: to make it easier for users to browse through similar content that is relevant to them.
