"You don't have to be sad today"
On August 15, all hell broke loose at Walter Brun's "Allmendhuisli" in Stans. At the "Huisli-Fäscht" with a TV recording of "TV muisig 24", the 1986 sports car team world champion Walter Brun was once again the star himself when he enchanted the large audience with a world premiere of his popular hit "Muesch doch hüt nid truurig si".
Walti has always made music, but after his motorsport career, the now 81-year-old found much more time for it. Walti's chief mechanic Bruno Flückiger also joined the discussion and the two of them shared a few anecdotes from times long past.
The "Allmenduisli" has now also become a small meeting place for racing drivers. The restaurant, which is conveniently located on the north-south axis and is open seven days a week, has already seen many familiar faces, and just a few days earlier the Italian ex-F1 driver Bruno Giacomelli actually popped in spontaneously.
P.S. The photo above shows, from left to right: Silvia Zanni (Walti's partner of many years), Marcello Alexander (TV muisig presenter), Walter Brun and Bruno Flückiger (Walti's ex-chief mechanic).
