Did Doc Brown land on September 9, 2021?
Time machines have their own laws. While the years pass as normal for us non-time travelers, Doc Brown and Marty McFly (in the film trilogy "Back to the Future I-III") were able to move through time and travel to 1955, back to the Wild West or even into the future (2015).
What we don't know is whether Doc Brown, coming from 1985, also headed for other years in addition to the future year 2015, and the photo from yesterday could indicate exactly that if it wasn't all pure fiction.
It was hardly a coincidence that the DeLorean DMC-12 was chosen for the film at the time, as the combination of gullwing doors and stainless steel bodywork gave the car a futuristic look that could be put to good use in the film. We published an extensive report on the movie car some time ago.
Unfortunately, the DeLorean production cars could not fly and the flux compensator was not included in the list of accessories ...
The pictured DeLorean DMC-12 from 1981 will be auctioned by the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen on October 16, 2021, we were able to take a closer look at it and will of course soon report on our driving impressions ...
