Some cars can be recognized even if you only see individual body parts. This is certainly the case with the Chevrolet Corvette C2 of the first year of production, when the part of the plastic bodywork that later bears the two-piece rear window is shown. The picture was taken during production at Chevrolet in 1962.
Back then, a lot of production was still done by hand and hardly any robotic assistance was used. In fact, 100 years ago, cars were made almost entirely by hand. Pictures that show the manufacturing process back then are always exciting. And because they can also be used to put together interesting car quizzes , we have selected some images from our photo archive that show how cars were built back then. But which cars?
