75 years of ams with starting number 75

You can celebrate a milestone birthday in a good restaurant, a convivial bar or even on the race track. Not just any race track, of course, but on the Nordschleife at the legendary 24-hour race.
The 420 hp racing car entered by True Racing and KTM was just right for the "auto motor und sport" jubilarian.
The Austrian was driven by ams editor Jens Dralle, Ring specialist Tim Schrick, Markus Oestreich and Christian Menzel. The latter showed a sensational start phase and drove the X-Bow up to 23rd place in the rain, directly behind the faster GT3 cars. "He had to use everything he had learned in all his 24-hour races, and that was 25 of them," said Jens Dralle.
Oestreich took over the car from Menzel and was unlucky. He destroyed the front end, which resulted in an hour and a half of repairs. The on-board fire extinguisher also came off, which caused a further delay.
After the restart, the team finished the race in 72nd place, narrowly missing out on 75th position out of a total of 121 participants. The birthday party was thus complete.
Congratulations on the race and on the birthday of our colleagues.
P.S. We were also on site and were able to watch the touring car legendsat their races.
