When the light sports car tows the heavy sedan
Today, you would hardly want to use your Alfa RomeoSpider to tow a stately Volvo sedan. However, the photo was taken for a Shell advertisement, so it can be assumed that the Alfa was spared the towing procedure.
But since we ourselves were recently hooked up to a small VW Polo with a stately limousine, we can assume that the Alfa could have towed the Volvo .
Incidentally, when the photo above was taken, both vehicles were still new or recent second-hand cars, as the photo was taken at the beginning of the 1980s.
At the time, Shell ran a very sympathetic campaign offering drivers free legal assistance. And towing can certainly give rise to interesting legal problems ...
