The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Sport/Lightweight is the most overrated classic... (Question of the week)
The Porsche 911 Carrera RS 2.7 Sport/Lightweight is the most overrated classic car! At least according to our latest survey, in which a record-breaking number of readers voted.
Classic car prices have developed dynamically over the last ten years. Some vehicle types have made particularly big leaps and are now significantly more valuable than other vehicles in their age group. The Zwischengas readers are/were asked to choose the most overvalued classic from a few examples.
To be honest, we didn't expect the 911 Carrera RS Lightwight (current value between 500k and 800k) to be the most overvalued car, and by a clear margin. Followed by the 250 GTO (around 40 million) and the McLaren F1 (around 7 to 15 million).
People find the very early E-Types (250-400k) the least overrated, which we would not have expected.
But that's exactly why polls are interesting, everyone has their justifiably different view and market assessment.
We have already published a new "question of the week" to answer. This time, we want to know which of nine proposed technologies is most at risk of becoming a classic car. We look forward to your answers!
And of course you can still look up all the answers to previous "Questions of the Week" in a dedicated topic channel .
