Brand tradition is also important when buying a new car (Question of the week)
Although some car brands spend a lot of money communicating their history, some car manufacturers don't seem to care about their own history. Especially today, in the age of electromobility and automated driving, many vehicle manufacturers prefer to emphasize the future rather than the past.
However, in our question of the week , we wanted to know how relevant the tradition and history of a car brand is to today's car buyers when they buy a modern car.
Over 53% of the 257 survey participants stated that brand heritage and tradition are important to them (37.4% in absolute terms) or very important (16%).
A further 24.5% said that brand history was less important, but still an important selling point.
16% consider the tradition of the brand to be irrelevant; only its characteristics count for modern cars.
Interestingly, 6.2% were unable to find any answers among the suggestions given, perhaps because they never buy modern cars.
In summary, however, it can be said that the tradition of a car manufacturer is also an important factor when buying a new car among the public interested in classic and youngtimers. Perhaps one or two manufacturers should reconsider their investments.
Graphically evaluated, the result of the survey looks like this:
However, we have already formulated another new question of the week. This time we would like to know which era you would choose if you could visit a motor show of days gone by again using a time machine .
And as before, all previous questions of the week and their evaluations can of course still be viewed in a separate topic channel.
