Oldtimer/youngtimer owners are a nation of car collectors
10/03/2016
We meet many classic and vintage car owners in the course of our work, but also privately, and we notice that many of these car enthusiasts have not just one, but several old cars. Is this individual impression true, we asked ourselves, and therefore formulated a" question of the week" to find out whether classic car owners are a nation of collectors. And lo and behold, our theory was confirmed.
77% of all respondents (and we had a record turnout this time) own at least two classic cars/youngtimers, 56% have at least three classic cars in their possession.
8% of respondents said they have ten or more classic/young cars in their collection, 16% look over six to ten classic/young cars when they enter their garage. 17% of survey participants say they own four or five classic cars, 15% three.
21% own two, 17% exactly one classic/young car. The high proportion of small and large collectors is surprising; just 3% of survey participants stated that they did not own a classic or modern classic car.
So at least among Zwischengas readers, multiple classic/young-timer owners are in the majority.
The analysis of the answers looks like this in detail:
The evaluations of the previous Questions of the Weekcan all be read in a dedicated topic channel.
And the next question of the week has already been asked, this time asking when and how often classic car owners change the engine oil in their cars.
