Classic cars immune to hackers?
07/29/2015
A video and an accompanying report from Wired magazine are currently making the rounds, showing how two hackers "take over" a Jeep driving on the highway via computer. From the sofa, they can control the brakes, steering, entertainment electronics, etc. or prevent the driver from accelerating without the driver being able to do anything about it. Frightening.
Of course, this can't happen to a classic car, because the individual technical components cannot be influenced remotely, nor are our old cars directly connected to the Internet. Reassuring!
Of course, the manufacturers of modern vehicles make every effort to minimize the risk of hacker attacks, but the hackers are also getting better and better ...
Will government officials and movie agents soon switch back to classic cars to avoid the cyberwar?
