The Porsche 993 has a very special place in the history of the sports car manufacturer in Zuffenhausen/Stuttgart, as it was the last time an air-cooled six-cylinder engine was fitted in the rear, before water cooling was introduced with the 996. The 993 thus marked the end of an era that began in 1963 with the 901 at the IAA in Frankfurt. And exactly 30 years later, the 993 was presented there. However, there are other reasons why the 993 is one of Porsche's most stable model series even at a young age. Many fans of the Stuttgart-based manufacturer simply consider the 993 to be the best 911 of all time. How good was and is it really?
