English variety - almost like back then

The same straight photographed 61 years apart. This is the start-finish section of the Goodwood race track.
In the fifties and sixties, the circuit was used by the "Guild of Motoring Writers", among others, to test drive new cars, which were shown at the London Motor Show at the same time. And it is noticeable that these were predominantly or almost exclusively British vehicles.
A few decades later, there are hardly any genuine English car brands left and the 73rd Members Meeting at Goodwood celebrates the 20th anniversary of the McLaren F1 Le Mans victory, on the same straight, but this time in the correct direction.
And at the races at the 73rd Members Meeting, the old British brands of the 1950s will also be back in action, with cars from Morris, Daimler, Riley, Austin, Hillman, Jaguar, Ford and the like battling for positions on the market as they did 60 years earlier.
