Allow me? My name is Winnetou

In 1967, the Swiss Skoda importer A. P. Glättli AG wanted to put something special on its stand at the Geneva Motor Show. And so the "Winnetou" was created on the basis of a Skoda chassis with a 52 hp rear engine. A plastic body was chosen for the convertible body, which was produced by the Suren company in Aachen. On closer inspection, it appears to have been a variant of the American Devin molds, as used on VW Beetle and Porsche 356 chassis.
How they came up with the name of the Karl May Apache chief is beyond our knowledge.
The price that was set at the time proves that they were serious: 7900 francs.
According to the report in Automobil Revue number 10/1967 at the time, they wanted to test interest for the first time at the Geneva Motor Show. Obviously, it was not too great. In any case, we have not come across a vehicle like this in the last 30 years, but perhaps the prototype has survived?
