Long live the difference
03/07/2015
In the early nineties, Citroën used this image in its communications. Would you have recognized the vehicles without this reference? Probably well, because Citroën models in the past (Citroën DS, SM, CX, XM) always had a characteristic design. And they shone with technical innovations that other brands could not offer. That is why the title "Vive la différence" is more appropriate than for almost any other brand.
"Citroën cars have always stood out from contemporary competitor models in terms of style and technology" could be read at the time.
And is it still true today? Perhaps in part, after all Citroën is trying to revive some of its old glory with the new DS models and to be different with the Cactus. But a model like the Déesse is hardly conceivable in today's market environment, or is it?
