A classic car never belongs to you alone ...
Recently, I noticed an advertisement for a watch brand that made the point that an obviously long-lasting timepiece never belongs to you alone, but that you can enjoy it for as long as you own it, but actually keep it for future generations.
This may be true for a watch, but even more so for an old car. The oldest cars still in existence have already survived four, five or even more generations, even the cars from the 1950s were passed on to new generations a long time ago.
Nevertheless, it seems strange to think that the classic or modern car we bought some time ago might live to be twice or three times as old as we are. And yet in some cases it will be.
After all, as vehicle owners, we are allowed to feel like owners without restrictions and (still) have to ask an authority for permission before we make changes or, for example, adapt the color to our taste. But who knows if it will stay that way ....
