Less is more with classic cars!
08/25/2014
The verdict of Zwischengas readers is clear. In the last " Question of the Week " , over four-fifths of participants decided that they would prefer a simply equipped classic car to one with lots of extras and accessories.
Obviously, the majority prefer to reduce the complexity that comes with power assistance, air conditioning, automatic gearboxes, electric windows, airbags and the like, and thus the threat of maintenance costs, even if this means sacrificing comfort.
Only 19% responded in the survey that full equipment and comfort accessories were also an argument for paying more for a classic car.
If this attitude continues to prevail in the future, then modern cars, which are almost inevitably extensively equipped, will have a doubly difficult time when they reach classic car age.
The next question of the week is already in the air with the topic of whether we are seeing a bubble or an irreversible trend in view of the rapidly rising prices of classic cars.
