Rarities in the Goodwood parking lots
It's not just the Goodwood circuit that is packed with rarities for the Revival, the parking lots around the event site are also full of cars that you don't get to see every day.
Bentley and Rolls-Royce are the most common. But when do you ever see a Peerless GT side by side with a Reliant Scimitar?
Between the sports cars that are also known to a wider public, there is always a limousine that has long been forgotten.
And it's the variety that makes the parking lot stroll so appealing.
And then, of course, you always find cars that you have probably never seen "alive" before.
The Vauxhall VRX concept car, presented in Geneva in 1966 and parked inconspicuously on the Goodwood fairgrounds, is not exactly on the parking lot, but remains largely unnoticed - a revolutionary and pioneering design for the time! "Stunning", the British would probably still say today.
We now only hope that all visitors were able to drive their rarities out of the sometimes rather soft parking lots. The report on the Goodwood Revival 2013 will follow soon ...
