Tail light provenance wanted
09/05/2013
Restoring and researching rare vehicles sometimes presents even experts with almost impossible tasks.
In 1960, a prototype of the BMW 3200 CS was (presumably) built at Bertone, which differed from the later series versions in some respects.
For example, a different rear light was used to that on the later vehicles.
It is now being puzzled as to where this special rear light came from, as it is assumed that the lamp was a series part that was standard equipment on cars produced at the time.
Can any of our readers find out in which other vehicles this light unit was also installed?
We will be happy to pass on any information, traces or even complete answers to the BMW V8 Club, who asked us about this matter.
