A brochure rarity - Alpine-Renault A310 prototype from 1971
01/30/2013
When Jean Rédélé presented the Alpine A310 in Geneva in March 1971, work had probably not yet progressed as far as hoped. The car was still largely untested and a prototype.
The brochure that was handed out at the stand probably had to be just as fast as the car. On the black-and-white leaflet, reproduced in less than convincing print quality, the prototype - photographed from all sides - was depicted several times, easily recognizable by the overhead rear lights, which were moved under the bumper on the production model.
The technical data was also incomplete. But at least interested parties were able to take something home to look forward to the series version, which went into production in the summer.
The print run was probably small, so it is all the more pleasing for us that we were able to find a copy and that it can nowbe found in the Zwischengas archive .
We published a detailed report on the A310 a few weeks ago.
