When Regazzoni visited Foitek

Even Clay Regazzoni did not miss out on the twentieth anniversary of Garage Foitek in 1982. He paid a personal visit to his friend Karl Foitek on the occasion of the company's anniversary on Brauerstrasse in Zurich.
Karl Foitek (now 81 years old) went through all the ups and downs of the sporting and business world as a driver, as manager of his son Gregor, and also economically. But he never let it get him down. He and Gregor made it all the way to Formula 1, and a year ago he was even able to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of "Foitek Automobile AG" in Altendorf, which was founded in September 2008 under the management of his three sons Frank, Reto and Gregor.
Unfortunately, Fernando Alonso or Felipe Massa no longer pay a spontaneous visit today. The scene has changed drastically. Today's drivers are under constant stress and are no longer available for spontaneous events. In the past, Karl Foitek often had prominent visitors, not just Regazzoni, but also greats such as Silvio Moser, Charles Vögele and Walter Habegger, to name just a few examples.
