Classic car tours with a difference - Garden Route Deluxe in South Africa
08/10/2012
There are quite a few dream roads: In addition to the legendary Pacific Coast Highway from San Francisco to Los Angeles, connoisseurs rave about the South African Garden Route and the Cape of Good Hope. The best way to enjoy these world-famous routes in pleasant temperatures is "topless" in a convertible. Then the picturesque landscape and nature can be enjoyed with all your senses. A trip like this is particularly stylish behind the wheel of a classic car. A noble pleasure for gourmets who not only pay attention to individuality and exclusivity when choosing their means of transportation, but also place high demands on hotels and gastronomy.
For a small circle of enthusiasts with a passion for classic vehicles, the ADAC has put together a dream tour at the best travel time in early November (3-10 November). This means an average of ten hours of sunshine per day in the early South African summer and temperatures above 20 degrees.
The classic cars on site are reserved for a maximum of ten teams of two. In addition to the pure pleasure of driving, the guided program leaves nothing to be desired. From a sundowner on Table Mountain to dinner on Cape Town's spectacular waterfront, a dip in the Indian Ocean and a barbecue by the pool, everything has been thought of.
According to the organizer ADAC, the focus is of course on the driving experience with daily stages of between 150 and 310 kilometers.
