Good times - Enjoying Audi DTM legends in peace

Enjoy the DTM once, without the hectic pace and beyond the dynamics of a race weekend. DTM fans who like to bring along an extra portion of time can strollthrough more than 20 years of DTM in the"Good Times" exhibition at Audi in the museum mobile from August 15, 2012.
When Audi entered the DTM in 1990 with Hans-Jochachim Stuck and the Audi V8 quattro, nobody believed that the executive saloon would leave the stage as the winner at the end of the year. Too big, too heavy, too immobile, that is how the V8 still looks on display today when it stands next to the BMW M3, the 190E from Mercedes or the Opel Omega. The fact that the "Double" followed in 1991 was the icing on the cake of Audi's new circuit racing commitment in Germany and Europe, which had already been successfully tackled with the Audi 200 quattro and the Audi 90 quattro in the USA.
The exhibition brings back memories of more than 20 years of DTM. From the Audi V8 quattro, with which the brand won its first title in the German Touring Car Championship in 1990, to the Abt-Audi TT-R and various A4 DTM champion cars, many wonderful exhibits can be admired up close. As usual, Ingolstadt is not afraid to include cars from other manufacturers in the exhibition so that visitors can make comparisons between the competitors.
In the panel discussion at the opening, the former racing drivers and sports directors spoke of a "great time" instead of "good times". Anyone who saw how courageously Stuck drove his former company car from 1990 in front of the museum on the Audi Piazza will long for the days of the DTM, when motorsport was not regulated under the silhouette.
And if the DTM exhibition isn't enough, you can also visit the permanent exhibition of Audi history. From the beginnings of the automobile, the Audi, DKW, Horch and Wanderer brands reflect more than 100 years of automotive history. A special children's program with quizzes and pit stops has also been developed for younger visitors, so that everyone gets their money's worth.
The 'Good Times - Audi in the DTM' exhibition is open daily from August 15 to October 31 from 9.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. at the Audi Forum Ingolstadt, Ettinger Straße, D-85057 Ingolstadt.
