Wellness for the racing car
09/15/2011
Cars need care, racing cars even more so. The Mercedes W154 from 1938 gets a lift on the lifting platform.
You can see how Mercedes has to look after its racing cars in order to get through the big program of events without any major damage. Because the worst thing for a factory is for its cars to break down. This can happen to us at any time, but you expect the reliability of a modern vehicle from factory-supported historic cars. Yet former racing technology in particular is extremely delicate. Specialists spend hours preparing these sensational cars for a drive that might last a minute or two.
After each use, everything is meticulously checked again in the workshop and prepared for the next start.
How many people are currently working on their cars for the start of the Goodwood Revival next weekend? Hundreds! We will be reporting on this highlight in detail.
