80 years fast and happy, Karl Foitek keep up the good work!
Today is the 80th anniversary of his birthday and Karl Foitek is celebrating with his friends. Zwischengas would like to congratulate him on this occasion.
Karl was one of the greats of his time. He competed successfully in countless national and international races between 1956 and 1971. He drove a wide range of sports and racing cars common at the time, from the Austin Healey (1956) to the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Veloce, Lotus Junior, Lotus Elan, Abarth sports car, Lotus 23, Porsche 910, Lamborghini Miura and the Lola 210 (1971).
In 1959 he won the Swiss championship title with the Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce in the Gran Turismo class, in 1961 and 1962 he won the racing car title with the Lotus Formula Junior, in 1963 again the sports car title in the Lotus 23, and in 1966 he came third in the European Hill Climb Championshipin the Lotus Elan.
