As early as 1957, Porsche photographers used the photogenic springtime for advertising shots of the Porsche Speedster. Blossoming trees and a lovely young lady complement the open Porsche. Spring awakening!
Incidentally, the Porsche Speedster was available in 1957 with the 1600, 1600 S or 1500 GS (Carrera) engine and weighed 760 to 790 kg depending on the engine. Thanks to up to 100 hp, it was capable of rapid progress and a top speed of almost 200 km/h. The most expensive version cost over 21,000 francs. You could almost have bought four VW Beetles with that kind of money. Today, a perfect Speedster can fetch ten times or more the price of a pretzel Beetle in perfect condition at auction.
