800 kilometers without interruption can be quite a long time. But while on a vacation trip you at least have a co-driver who can regularly supply you with fresh cigarettes at the wheel, on the race track you're on your own. The driver of this '62 Ford didn't want to go without his cigarettes for five and a half hours during the 500-mile race in Riverside in 1963 - and simply stuck the tobacco-containing spare canister to his dashboard.
