You can still dream, after all. In the hope that the fame of the big racing team would rub off on him a little, this young Englishman stuck not one, but two Ferrari badges on the rear of his Austin-Healey 100. (Incidentally, the picture comes from the charming short film " The home-made car" from 1963, which tells the story of the restoration of a 1923 Morris Oxford).
But it wasn't just young wannabes who adorned themselves with other people's horses. Even racing driver Wolfgang von Trips has the yellow coat of arms with the black horse attached to the rear of his Porsche. However, this is more likely to have been an acknowledgement of his second employer. He drove sports car races for Porsche in 1958, but in Formula 1 he sat in the Ferrari cockpit. But he had nothing to do with BMW here or there...
