Porsche 356 Super 90 (1960) – Versuchsträger mit Deckel-Benzineinspritzung am 1000-km-Rennen auf dem Nürburgring 1960

This bagpipe-like exhaust system is not a useless gimmick, but a vibration-optimized precision component. At the 1000 km race on the Nürburgring, Porsche used the Super 90 with the wild exhaust system as a test vehicle. However, the main thing that was to be tested cannot be seen in the picture: Friedrich Deckel's fuel injection system.
